The Customer Service Representative will work both in our contact center as well as at our clinic front desk. Duties include but are not limited to: assisting our customers with scheduling patient appointments, checking clients in upon arrival, cashier duties, taking messages, notifying staff of emergencies, referring calls to other HSMO departments as necessary, maintaining accurate records in AMCMA databases, maintaining client and patient confidentiality of information, answering questions relating to veterinary procedures, and general animal health care. The Animal Medical Center of Mid-America (AMCMA), along with the Humane Society of Missouri (HSMO), is seeking a Marketing Communications Manager to work at our Headquarters location. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing and communications activities to attract new clients and retain existing clients. Also, this position will be expected to enhance the public image of and garner public support for AMCMA and HSMO through promotions, publicity, website, blogs, social media and on-line communications, including publications and other media.  This role will have dual reporting responsibility to AMCMA three-quarters of the time and the PR Department of HSMO the remainder of the time. Requirements for this position include a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; and three to five years related experience. Veterinary knowledge and experience preferred.

The Animal Medical Center of Mid America (AMCMA) is comprised of three well-equipped, full-service hospitals servicing the St. Louis metropolitan area. All are fully AAHA accredited facilities with an emphasis on high-quality medicine and surgery and each is staffed by an exceptionally competent and compassionate support team. AMCMA operates as an independent arm of the Humane Society of Missouri with all profits generated from operation of the veterinary hospitals benefiting animals in need at the Humane Society of Missouri.

We are looking for a hardworking, client-focused full-time veterinarian to support the growth of our St. Louis City location.  Soon, all three facilities will offer digital radiography, digital dental radiography, ultrasound, in-house laboratory, therapeutic laser, endoscopy, full service dentistry and a complete range of soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries. Special interests are encouraged and supported. We are eager to establish long term relationships with associate veterinarians and offer a generous salary and benefits package including guaranteed base salary plus production-based commission, health and dental insurance, paid vacation, CE allowance, local and national professional association memberships, veterinary and controlled substance licensure as well as balanced scheduling. Our Animal Cruelty Task Force is searching for an investigator for the City of St. Louis. This position requires a dedicated individual with excellent communication and animal handling skills to respond to calls regarding the welfare of animals. Primary responsibilities include the investigation of cases related to animal neglect, abuse and abandonment, education of pet and livestock owners, the promotion of responsible animal care, and assisting the Animal Cruelty Task Force with the rescue of animals due to distressing conditions or disasters. This mission oriented position requires the candidate to have excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills, coupled with the knowledge of responsible pet ownership, and must display a high level of professionalism at all times. Previous animal related experience and/or investigative or security experience is required. We are seeking an individual with veterinary hospital experience to work in our AAHA accredited veterinary clinic and surgery center. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual that possesses knowledge of animal health care, animal restraint techniques, and surgery preparation in addition to being detail-oriented, and having excellent communication and multi-tasking skills. A commitment to client education and communication are required for this position.  This position assists veterinarians; restrains animals, dispenses surgical equipment; lifts animals to weigh for medications/anesthetics, preps animals for treatment and/or surgery, maintains medical records, monitors anesthetic procedures, administers & dispenses medications, applies splints/bandages and cleans/disinfects medical & surgical equipment. The ideal candidate will also be excellent at maintaining strong working relationships with HSMO coworkers and customers and maintaining a positive and professional public image at all times. Responsibilities include: training staff, organizing and overseeing workflow, providing back up to management in regards to opening and closing duties and overseeing daily Adoption Center operations, providing animals the Adoption Center with proper care and attention including feeding, cleaning, sanitation, and medical procedures, as well as following Adoption Center guidelines to make appropriate adoption matches. HSMO’s Longmeadow Rescue Ranch is looking for a LEAD Ranch Assistant. Responsibilities include monitoring and checking the work of other employees and ranch volunteers, scheduling and overseeing the daily work arrangements, ensuring proper care for all animals at the ranch, adherence to established feeding, sanitation, medical procedures, assisting and restraining animals for veterinarian and farrier, and following all HSM Adoption policies guidelines.

The successful candidate should have professional horse handling experience, have or ability to obtain a Class E Driver’s license, and horse trailer experience. Experience working with stallions and foals is preferred, including halter training and socializing. Experience with other farm animals is desirable. Should be proficient in personal computing skills (word, excel, email, and internet). Prior Lead or supervisory experience would be a plus.

Our horse and farm animal rescue ranch in Union, Missouri is seeking an experienced supervisor to assist the Ranch Director in the daily operations of the ranch, including the care of animals, the supervision/instruction of employees and volunteers, and the maintenance of a safe and clean environment. You will need a valid Class E driver’s license (or the ability to obtain one), a four year degree, and 3-5 years of supervisory, horse handling, and animal care experience.
