Pet Care with a Purpose

Since 1955, the Humane Society of Missouri Veterinary Medical Centers have been committed to providing expert care to both animals in our shelters and pets in the community. Today, we operate the largest veterinary practice in Missouri, offering a full range of medical and surgical services to keep pets happy and healthy. Best of all, proceeds from our veterinary medical centers benefit the homeless animals in our three shelters. When you choose HSMO, you're not only helping your pet; you're helping hundreds of other animals in need.

AAHA Accredited

All three HSMO Veterinary Medical Centers are fully accredited by the American Animal Hospital Assocation (AAHA). Of approximately 20,000 animal hospitals in the US, only 3,100 have earned this honor. Of those 3,100, only seven represent animal hospitals affiliated with humane organizations. Our veterinary medical centers account for three of those seven, placing us in the very top tier of animal hospitals in the country.

Our veterinary medical centers are open to the public. Pets do not need to have been adopted from our shelters to become clients of our veterinary medical centers. Animals are seen by appointment, Monday through Saturday. Please call (314) 951-1534 to schedule an appointment at any of our three locations.
